Another batting masterclass was to be had at Clydach this afternoon (20th) as our 1st XI overhauled the home club’s all out score of 201 in 50 overs with considerable ease.
Captain Aneurin “ Noddy” Norman once again lit up proceedings with his brutal innings of 114no off 83 balls (12 fours & 8 sixes!) to see his lads home by 8 wickets in just the 29th over! Well supported by Greg Thomas (39, 7 fours) and Max Phillips (33no, 4 fours & a maximum), Noddy provided top entertainment!
At Neath, our ‘A’ XI held their nerve to win a thriller off the last ball! Defending just 115, MCC won by 2 runs!
Finally, at Marespool, our 2nd XI were well beaten by Neath, who had no problems reaching their target of 74 all out without losing a wicket.
Next Saturday (27th), the 1st XI welcome Dafen to HQ, our 2nd XI travel to Ammanford and our ‘A’ XI taken on Merthyr at Murton.
