The Club were pleased to host a major fund raising evening for the local RNLI last Friday (15th)!
Much work had been put into the organisation of the event during the preceding months and weeks, with all 200 tickets sold! There was an auction of many exciting lots, all donated, plus a raffle of even more prizes. Supporters did not go hungry either, as there was a sumptuous hog roast plus BBQ to enjoy! Popular band The Contenders provided the entertainment whilst everyone enjoyed chatting to the local crews, in the company of their inshore craft!
Over £5000 was raised for this great cause, with further pledged donations still to come in!
Main organiser Charlotte Thomas said “The evening was a resounding success! Thanks to everyone at the Club, both before and on the night, for all their help and support. I shall pop over on Tuesday to book for next year!”
As with the ever increasing community use of the Club’s facilities, the pleasure was all ours!
