Following Alex Protheroe’s decision to stand down as captain of the Club’s ‘A’ XI after many years hard work and success in both the nurturing of progressing younger cricketers and the securing of cups & league titles, plus promotions, along the way, Phil Roche has been appointed to take over the responsibilities of this crucial role within the Club.
With his vast experience of playing Senior league cricket, including so many games for MCC at both 1st XI and 2nd XI level, Phil is not short of top credentials for his new job.
Phil is also Coach of our Under 15 players so he is therefore ideally placed to help guide our promising youngsters as they make the big step from Junior Cricket to competitive Senior Cricket.
