Closed Season Bar Opening Times
The Committee would like to update all our members on the planned opening times during the closed season.
In recent years it was viable for us to open the bar regularly during the closed season but unfortunately this is no longer the case. A significant rise in operating costs, beer prices and lack of regular footfall has made it impossible to justify opening when we regularly fail to turn a profit.
The decision was not made lightly as we understand this will affect a small number of our loyal members. However, there is no alternative and the decision was made unanimously by the Management Committee. We have acted quickly to keep any disruption to a minimum.
We have made the decision swiftly to enable us to communicate with all our members and prior to subscription renewal letters being out for Season 2024.
We will endeavour to open for popular sporting fixtures and we do have some functions in the diary already. The Club will be open for all cricket matches from April onwards and it will be very much business as usual, although there are significant challenges ahead. Bar opening times will continue to be published on our website and via Teamo.
