“CRICKET WORLD” Junior Performance of The Week..
..a truly fantastic achievement!!
This award was in respect of Ben’s (son of our Warren) partnership with Charlie Porter (son of Steve) of Civil Service CC for West Glam Schools U13s v Eryi Schools at Llandudno…as an aside, Warren and Steve played Junior & Senior cricket together decades ago at Swansea!
AND..13 year old Ben’s talents are not just on display in Junior games…his scores in MCC Senior cricket this season have so far included 66 (2nd XI v Llanelli), 25no (2nd XI v Pontarddulais), 52no (U17s v Clydach), 23 (2nd XI v Swansea) and 52no (Club v Carmel CC from N. Wales)! The knock v “Bont” was part of a partnership of 102 whilst his hit v Llanelli dominated a stand of 129…both with Ben Jones! Immediately prior to that partnership v Llanelli, Ben L had already added 85 with Pete Tuckett…MCC 305-6 on the day!
WELL DONE, BEN…IT’S ALL IN THE NAME, LAD!
