{"id":6353,"date":"2014-08-22T08:39:56","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T08:39:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=6353"},"modified":"2014-08-26T18:36:50","modified_gmt":"2014-08-26T18:36:50","slug":"macmarathon-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=6353","title":{"rendered":"Team Owain 2014!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong><em>Message from MCC Stalwart &amp; Life Member, Allan Baglow &#8211;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">On Saturday 13th September 2014, the Annual Macmillan\u00a0Round Gower Walk of over 22 miles\u00a0(Macmarathon) takes place with 1,100 walkers finishing at our\u00a0Club, sore but happy!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">We have again entered <strong>TEAM OWAIN<\/strong> with 20 people\u00a0walking in memory of my late nephew, including club members Stuart Seaton, Gareth Jones, Rhys Parry, John and Marcia Blyth, Mike and Sue Baglow, Gareth Baglow and myself.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The Macmarathon is a major fund raising event for Macmillan Cancer Support, and in recent years each walk has raised in excess of \u00a3100,000. <strong>TEAM OWAIN <\/strong>alone\u00a0has raised nearly \u00a311,500 over the last 3 years!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">We hope to raise a good sum of money again this\u00a0year for this very worthy cause, so if anybody is willing to sponsor me, or any\u00a0of my fellow walkers in <strong>TEAM OWAIN<\/strong>, we shall be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">extremely<\/span> grateful once more.
