{"id":4519,"date":"2013-11-05T16:30:51","date_gmt":"2013-11-05T16:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=4519"},"modified":"2013-11-15T09:22:54","modified_gmt":"2013-11-15T09:22:54","slug":"2000-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=4519","title":{"rendered":"\u00a32,000 for Charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This season&#8217;s 20\/20 match between Mumbles Cricket and the Ospreys raised \u00a32,000 for the Velindre Cancer Charity.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event attracted another large crowd to Marespool as the Ospreys won an exciting game in the last over to take a 2-1 lead in the series.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic1.jpg\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-4523\" title=\"velindrespic\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic2-300x143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic2-300x143.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/velindrespic2.jpg 940w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Simon Lloyd and John Blyth joined Ospreys Sam Davies and Ben John at Llandarcy to present the cheque to Andrew Morris, head of fundraising at Velindre.<\/p>\n<p><em>Andrew said; &#8220;We are very grateful to Mumbles Cricket Club and the Ospreys for  putting so much effort into providing such a great nights entertainment  and obviously for the money it has raised for our Victory Over Cancer  campaign. It was a cracking event and I&#8217;m glad all the players and  spectators enjoyed&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Simon added:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;This was the third time we have played the Ospreys and the turnout  this year was superb.
