{"id":19313,"date":"2025-04-27T16:38:19","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T16:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=19313"},"modified":"2025-04-27T17:03:50","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T17:03:50","slug":"mighty-macsen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mumblescricket.com\/?p=19313","title":{"rendered":"MIGHTY MACSEN!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Well..with a ray or two of sunshine, Marespool looking a picture, boys and older boys finding their cricket kit and hey-ho, off we go!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Check the scorecards on our Play-cricket site (<a href=\"https:\/\/mumbles.play-cricket.com\/Matches\">https:\/\/mumbles.play-cricket.com\/Matches<\/a>) but, basically, we enjoyed three wins from our first three games of the new season in the UK!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>On Friday night, our Under 15s trounced Gowerton by 9 wickets to canter through to R2 of Cricket Wales&#8217; U15 Welsh Cup!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Yesterday, Aneurin Norman led his MCC XI to a comfortable win by 39 runs over Gorseinon in the first of the weekend&#8217;s friendly fixtures.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Then today, Tim Hemp was the victorious captain as his MCC XI defeated Dunvant by 107 runs!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>And the votes are in &#8211; the viewers enjoying the Club&#8217;s match streaming service have had their say! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MCC Player of The Weekend is &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><em><strong>MACSEN DENMAN v DUNVANT TODAY!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Coming in at number 8, he coolly struck 32no from 23 balls (2 fours &amp; a six) before the break, and then finished the game off in style with the ball!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I could be &#8220;cruel&#8221; and say &#8220;look it up&#8221;, using the link above but, ok then, Tim brought Macsen on to bowl, with the scoreboard reporting 10-man Dunvant 69-6!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Three wickets to clinch the home win! MD bowled just three deliveries, and took a hat-trick..ALL BOWLED!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Well done to all three teams, especially Macsen! If it rains for the rest of the season, you can already claim to have had a great summer!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Senior League season starts next Saturday (3rd).
