Our clubhouse and five-acre Marespool Ground is perched high on a clifftop on the beautiful Gower Peninsula.<\/p>\n

Marespool is in Thistleboon, about a mile from the centre of Mumbles and close to the superb beach at Langland Bay and to the many bars, restaurants and shops on the seafront promenade and in the village itself.<\/p>\n

The coastal footpath next to the ground commands spectacular views over Mumbles, Swansea, Devon, Langland Bay (pictured below) and the headlands of Gower, Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.<\/p>\n

We are 6 miles from Swansea and 12 miles from the M4<\/strong>. The summer traffic on the one road into Mumbles can often cause delays; please allow extra time for your journey, especially when (if!) the sun’s out.<\/p>\n

Directions from Swansea \/ M4: (Sat-Nav – SA3 4JE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Swansea, follow the signs for Mumbles & Gower<\/strong> on the A4067<\/strong> coast road around Swansea Bay. Keep the sea on your left for 6 miles to Mumbles (see picture below).  Aim for the pier and lighthouse.<\/p>\n

Half a mile after<\/span><\/strong> the ‘Welcome to Mumbles’ sign, go straight on at the first roundabout, passing the West Cross Inn on your left. Continue for another half a mile past the signs for the Norton House Hotel and Beaufort Inn.<\/p>\n

Entering Mumbles itself, go straight on at the mini roundabout<\/span><\/strong> passing the White Rose Pub on your right. Stay on the B4433 seafront road for about 2 miles with the shops, hotels and restaurants on your right.<\/p>\n

Go past the entrances to The Pier, uphill past the ‘Big Green Apple’ kiosk, and then past the entrances to the Castellmare Restaurant, the Coastguard Centre and the large car park overlooking the Lighthouse.<\/p>\n

At Forte’s Ice Cream Parlour, turn right up the hill and about a minute’s drive away on your left is a narrow turning, signposted OLD PLUNCH LANE<\/strong>, this leads to the ground about 50 yards off the main road.<\/p>\n

Please slow down and take extra care when entering and leaving the ground. Thank you and welcome to Mumbles Cricket Club’s Marespool Ground.<\/p>\n
